Healthy Habits and Realistic Goals
Good afternoon everyone 😊
I wanted to blog about Healthy Habits...
It's so important to take care of yourself and set realistic goals. I for one need to follow my own advice. I’ve struggled with my weight since I started having children. It has brought me down in ways that I can’t even explain. I’ve struggled with feeling so insecure about myself. At times I used to feel like I didn’t want to be here and that everything I did to improve myself wasn’t working. I looked at food like it was comfort. If you know me you know food made me happy, which is an unhealthy relationship to have with food. It was a struggle and still is. That’s why making healthy habits for myself has changed my life. It's still a work in progress…..
Thinking positive and not comparing myself to others is one of the biggest bad habits I’ve had to overcome. Someone wise once told me that it’s a recipe for unhappiness. It's so true. I was so miserable thinking that I wasn’t pretty because I wasn’t skinny.
Eating healthy is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Exercising is the next. It brings such happiness. I even feel less stressed. Planning your meals, drinking more water, getting enough sleep, and taking time away from social media are all great healthy habits.
Getting some sun is also an awesome healthy habit. A few minutes in the sunshine raises vitamin D levels, and that's good for your bones, your heart, and your mood. Plus, being outside means you're more likely to move your body instead of parking it in front of the TV or computer. Choose nature over city streets if you can.
Until next time…..
